Coach Dave Daubenmire - Pass the Salt « Thread Started on Apr 6, 2008, 6:18pm »
Coach Dave Daubenmire, a veteran 25 year high school football coach, was spurred to action when attacked and eventually sued by the ACLU in the late 1990's for alledgedly mixing prayer with his coaching. After a two year battle for his 1st amend-ment rights and a determination to not back down, the ACLU relented and offered coach an out of court settlement. God honored his stand and the ACLU backed off. Coach's courageous stand, an inspiration to Americans everywhere, demon-strated that the ACLU can be defeated.
As a result of the experience, Coach heard the call to move out of coaching a high school team, to the job of coaching God's team. PASS THE SALT was formed to encourage the Body of Christ to step into the cultural war. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood...” PASS THE SALT is convinced that God has given the Body a window of opportunity to take our culture back.

He does have some flaws like us all, he stated that he don't care of the homosexuals do it in their homes - he needs repentance for that, but he does go out on a Politically incorrect limb:

They're behavior and actions are perverted and deviant. Go ahead, call me hateful. I'm only defining the words. What they do can never be "normal," so they must change the meaning of "normal." They must alter "societal standards."
This goes back to what God says about evil calling itself GOOD and the good BAD.
I surely love the fire from the voice of a man convicted in the Lord God of Scripture. Even with his little faults, I can' but help feel a warm and loving feeling from him in his role today. May he not stray off the tracks of righteousness. Amen.
I suppose some of it could be traced to Dr. Spock, as he is responsible for so much of what is wrong with child-rearing these days, or to Benjamin Bloom, and John Dewey, two acolytes-of-atheism, men who promoted the Humanistic ideals that have replaced Christianity as the bedrock of our educational system. “If it feels good, do it” has replaced “Thou shall not.”
Coach Dave also makes obvious sense to someone with a conscience:

I love a lot of His quotes, because he's real, and open... he says it like I think in a lot of instances. I still think he sold out a little about not caring if the homosexuals do it in their homes, I think wee still need to weed them out too, but this may come close to a lot of you here, no matter what side of the tracks, you will know this is true:

Running Back INTO Romans 13: Let me ask the question this way. Did Jesus defy authority? Did Jesus engage in "civil-disobedience?" Did Jesus subject himself to "the higher powers?"

Usually when one asks that question one gets the standard response that "Jesus did nothing to defend himself against Pilate and the Roman authorities," as if that is the answer to the question. It is important to look at the issues surrounding Jesus' arrest and "conviction" in order to answer the question properly.
It is true that when Jesus stood before Pilate that He refused to defend Himself. But it is critical to understand why He was led as "a lamb to the slaughter." Jesus understood something that many in the church do not understand today. Jesus understood authority.
Being a good Berean, I thought it might be enlightening to look at His trial before Pilate . Some interesting facts come to light.
* The Jewish leadership considered Jesus a "lawbreaker"/sinner. Verse 30. * The Jewish law was different from the Roman law. Verse 31 * The Jewish nation and Roman nation were separate. Verse 35 * Jesus had broken no Roman law. Verse 38 * Pilate/Rome had no authority over Jesus. John 19:11.
Why is this important? Because Jesus' beef was not with the Romans, his beef was with those "in authority over him." The bone He wanted to pick was with the church leaders. It is crucial that we see that.
Yes' um, maybe that's why I like him, even with his faults; he's a man's man. He actually has a heart that reminds me of not only mine own, but a couple people that I have been privileged to meet, and some great pastors over time as well, including reading about the greatest pastors of all time.
Coach Dave is a man’s man, and his frank observations are, well, too gut-real for some even in the “pro-family” movement. American Christianity has been feminized, or perhaps emasculated — or even “psychologized” — to such a degree that we shy away from bold truth-telling. We rationalize our withdrawals from the culture wars, sometimes using theology to justify our cowardice. In his article, “Have You Visited a Gay Pride Parade?”, the Coach shows us the end-game of ”tolerance” and “diversity”: the glorification of sin, churches parading in support of behavior that God condemns, and the promotion of ungodly lifestyles to innocent kids.
Yes, it does look like Ol Dave does have Saltiness. What say ye O ye faithful, does he or not, and if Not then with explicit detail proclaim why.

Fifteen year-old children have been lured into the trap. Every school teacher, every principal, every school board member should be required to attend the parade to see where the promotion of diversity is taking our children. It ain’t pretty, unless men dressed as women, and “dykes on bikes” is what you want for your child. * Those who cry for tolerance are the least tolerant. Truth is hate to those who hate the Truth. * No pastor in America should be able to speak-out against homosexuality until he views firsthand the perversity he claims to abhor. * The lawless hate God. The name of Jesus is an affront to sinners. The crowd cheered the apostate churches as they displayed their man-made signs declaring their man-man opinion of Jesus’ acceptance of sin. They cursed and spat upon those who held a sign that displayed the Word of God, “If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination.” * I am confused. If same-sex couples are attracted to the same sex why are all of the women, manly, and all of the men, girlie? Shouldn’t a lesbian be attracted to a feminine woman? Why are most of them Rosie look alikes? Shouldn’t a homosexual man be attracted to a masculine man? Why are so many of them Richard Simmons clones? * For the most part the church is irrelevant to sinners. Most of the homosexuals grew up in church. Why do they now hate it so much? * Christian men are afraid to stand up for Jesus. They act just like women, striving to be “nice” to everyone. They won’t fight for their communities, won’t protect their children from indoctrination, and won’t storm the gates of hell. * The Columbus Police Department is in the pocket of the homosexual lobby [ditto for Chicago and most major cities — PL]. Women with naked breasts, men with bare butts, and simulated sex-acts filled the parade as the police focused on our signs in fear that the Word of God “might offend someone.” Go downtown today, pull down your pants, and moon the passers-by and see how long it takes to get handcuffed and charged with indecency. Indecency is the theme of the Gay Parade, under the watchful eye of those sworn to protect and defend. * The most memorable scene in the parade was the “gay-men’s flag corps” prancing in formation as they swirled their pink (I’m not kidding) flags as simultaneously the “dykes on bikes” dressed in jeans and jackets rode along side protecting the prissy-boys. “Wow,” I thought to myself, “talk about role reversals.”
The shocking truth is that the average "Christian" today, would STONE Jesus their Messiah or let me say this, I know that they would be angry over what he would have to say or do concerning any evil in this world, in particuar to their so called doctrines of god. These "Christians" would BAN JESUS from their websites for being HATEFUL or being a "disrupter" or for preaching His gospel just because THEIR rules they believe have precedence over the Lord God Almighty's laws.
In fact, there would be MANY a man in the area, if we were Christian Nation like we're supposed to, be pounding or least throwing protest tomatoes over this drawing:
